I got these crutches after a recent groin injury and I could not be happier. My wrists and hands were hurting from the traditional crutches I got from urgent care, so I needed a quick solution. Smart Crutch took the time to answer all my questions before and after purchase to ensure I had the right fit and was happy with my purchase. They have excellent customer service and truly care about their customers. I have hEDS, so while I hope to not need these in the future, it is comforting to know that I have a reliable and comfortable option for getting around when my body needs extra support. These are sleek and pretty lightweight. I am 5'1 and can easily maneuver these. After I heal from this injury and am walking on two feet again, I look forward to using these for museums and other activities that require long standing/additional support. The investment is worth every penny!
York Nordic provided the best, thoughtful customer service I have ever encountered. I had purchased the wrong grip poles, so I emailed York Nordic, asking for advice. Lauren immediately sent me new poles while I returned and was credited for the originals.
I have used Smart Crutches for about 10 years now. They are great for limited weight bearing or if you’re like me and can’t bear weight on wrists and hands so the weight is instead shifted to the forearm which helps tremendously for chronic/long-term use! Would love to have more frame color options but it’s nice getting to decorate the cuffs!
These walking poles are exceptional. After spine surgery, and then some complications, these walking poles are a godsend. Using them encourages me to be mindful of my posture and more confident with balance while building endurance. I particularly like the contoured hand rests that enhance my comfort while gaining my stride.
These slip around too much during use. Unable to use.
