When our sister brand, York Nordic, introduced the Motivator grip for walking poles last Summer, one of the key features we highlighted was having two thumb positions. Each position provides ergonomic advantages – one gives you a stable hold and balance while the other reduces stress on hands and wrists and improves proprioception and stability.
While that is just one feature that makes the grip one-of-a-kind, we are extremely pleased by the amount of feedback we’ve received on having the option of either position, depending on need during a walk. In fact, one reviewer pointed out that they actually alternate thumb positions during a walk purely to help with arthritis.
